Just days after slashing prices for 2012, Russia's Gazprom on Tuesday made a further concession to neighboring Belarus that ap- plies to deliveries in the second half of 2011 (IOD Nov.28'11). Belarusian gas pipeline operator Beltrans- gas — to be wholly acquired by Gazprom under last Friday's intergovernmental agree- ment — will make a partial payment of $244.80/Mcm for gas supplied in the second half of this year, instead of the higher rates of $279.16/Mcm and $305.72/Mcm envisaged in the two companies' existing contract for the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
