Fluxys, the gas grid subsidiary of Belgian gas infrastructure group Fluxys-G, has reported 2011 net profits of ?122 million ($160 million), down 51% from 2010. Fluxys transported 8% less natural gas than in 2010, with volumes transmitted for consumption inside Belgium down by 15% to 17 Bcm (183 terawatt-hours of gas) due to milder weather impacting household gas demand. Transit gas to other countries was 3% lower at 24.2 Bcm (260 TWh-gas).
