摘要

Norway-focused Lundin Petroleum on Tuesday criticized Oslo's proposed tax changes for offshore oil and gas production, confirming the adjustments will have some impact on the firm's giant Johan Sverdrup project, but won't have a "material impact" on its Brynhild, Edvard Grieg and Boyla schemes now in development. "I am surprised and disappointed about the changes because in my opinion the government should be doing its best to incentivize the development of smaller marginal fields while the infrastructure is in place," Lundin President and Chief Executive Ashley Heppenstall said during the group's interim results presentation. In theory, some will become uneconomic, he said, "but none of Lundin's projects come into that category."
