Local electric arc furnace steelworks, which are setting their rebar prices every month, are considering adjusting the prices on a quarterly basis. “It is not so efficient for electric arc furnace steelworks to negotiate the rebar price every month and there are a lot of short-term factors to exert influence on the decision of the monthly rebar prices,” said an official at an electric arc steelworks, “Thus, we are considering changing the current pricing system of rebars to adjust the price once in two months or in a quarter.”
