摘要

Salmonella enterica-contaminated buffalo milk samples collected from buffalo dairy farms in Bareilli, India were examined in the laboratory for characterization of the Salmonella isolates. After examining the samples, results showed that the isolates were resistant to amoxicillin + clavulanic acid, ceftazidime, ceftriaxone, and ampicillin. The isolates were subjected also to sensitivity test against amikacin, cephotaxime, ciprofloxacin, chloramphenicol, cephalothin, co-trimoxazole, cefoperazone, ceftazidime, doxycycline, furazolidone, gentamicin, kanamycin, nalidixic acid, neomycin, norfloxacin, sulphamethoxazole, streptomycin, trimethoprim, and tetracycline. The results indicates that contaminated raw milk is of public health importance thus proper dairy hygiene is recommended.
