摘要

The reduction of nitroblue tetrazolium and tyrosinase-inhibitory activities of a lichen species Bulbothrix setschwanensis were evaluated in its natural thallus. We present here the results of the studies on the influence of various culture conditions on the growth and their bioactivities. Half inhibiting concentration (IC50) for tyrosinase-inhibitory activity was found to be 26.08 mug dried extract per ml of natural thallus and 18.77 mug cultured tissue per ml and the reduction of nitroblue tetrazolium was found to be 23.71 mug dried extract of natural thallus and 19.02 mug of cultured tissue per nil.
