A full term pluriparous Gir cow was presented with the history of recurrent protrusion of mass through vulva and unproductive straining. The induction of parturition resulted in imperfect cervical dilatation (ICD). Cervicotomy was performed and a deadmale foetus was delivered. The cervicotomy wound was sutured and the prolapse mass was reduced as per standard procedure. The animal had an uneventful recovery after five days of treatment.
