After nine years and a million reproductions of this Volvo workhorse, Volvo has radically revived it. And although the appearance of the new XC60 does not betray the familiar cues, the reality is a completely new car, the "little sister" of the magnificent XC90 from which it inherits its design language in addition to the technological innovations that have indeed been enriched. Thomas Ingenlath, the head of Volvo Design in Gothenburg, explains, "We wanted to offer a better product than the one it's replacing, as it should be for our top model. Emanating more class with its bonnet and lengthened passenger compartment slightly pushed back, with a softer windscreen angle and amazing proportions."
