Designing a vehicle side mirror is a complex engineering task faced by all automotive manufacturers. Teaming up with Magna, FFT showed how the latest developments in aero-acoustic simulation technology could facilitate the complete development process, from early design stages to mass production readiness. In order to do so, the technologies were applied on an example case, which involved the acoustic, the aerodynamic and the design department of Magna.
