摘要

Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) terpolymer is used as an engineering plastic in many fields. Several ABS types were developed specially for plastic plating, which contain a very finely distributed rubber-elastic (elastomer) component made of polybutadiene or butadiene or bu ene-acrylonitrile copolymer [1]. As the adhesion of metal plating after being anized to the plastic is not adequate lications, classical pickling procedures with chromosulfuric acid are used to create uniform submicroscopic pits on the ABS surface, with no visible surface irregularities. These tiny grid-like pits form the basis for mechanically anchoring the metal layer on the ABS surface for decorative purposes, as protection against media or mechanical influences [2].
