The US genomics company, Synthetic Genomics (La Jolla, California), and Mexican biotechnology firm Plenus (Monterrey) have formed a new company, Agradis, to develop improved crops and crop protection products. Agradis has completed a $20 million round of financing, which will be used to establish the company infrastructure and support product development and commercialisation.
