Global miner BHP Billiton has reduced expectations for its iron ore output in the 12 months to Juneby 10 Mt to 237 Mt, following the fatal collapse of a tailings dam at the Samarco joint venture in Brazillast November.Samarco's iron ore production in fiscal H1 to December was down by 25% to 11 Mt (on a 100% basis)as a result, the Australia-based company said in its half-year production report.
