A 36-year-old man was referred to our department with persisting generalized papular eruption and itching of 3 years' duration. The patient had been treated with topical and systemic corticoster-oids, antihistamines, UV therapy, and retinoids, but none of.these efforts had resulted in any benefit. The patient's medical history was otherwise unremarkable and he had not been taking any other medication over the previous 3 years. He was a dentist and did not correlate his symptoms with particular conditions or activities.
