摘要

Mixtures of cool-season grasses and wildflowers marketed under the names "Ecology Lawn Mix" and "Fleur de Lawn"; and "No Mow", a mixture of fine fescues, performed as well as conventional, low maintenance, cool-season grasses when rated for colour,cover and overall appearance in three years of trials at two locations in Minnesota. Materials were evaluated using no pesticides or irrigation, mowing at 2 or 4 inches twice a year and three fertility levels. Mixtures containing perennial ryegrass provided the best cover with minimal weed competition. Warm-season grasses and mixtures of forbs without cool-season grasses had significantly lower colour and cover ratings.
