Until recently, sustainability was just a buzzword, a trendy way to promote one's company as being kind to Mother Earth. However, as more and more reports of "greenwashing" have surfaced, consumers are feeling increasingly misled by companies' claimsof being green. The unfortunate, yet predictable, result is that consumers are losing trust in these claims. Trust in salespeople has dropped to a meager 22 percent, according to a report by the USDA.
