摘要

In the late 60's and early 70's there was confusion in the nursery trade as more and more cultivars of Australian plants, particularly Grevilleas, began to appear on the market. Most of these arose from amateur gardeners finding adventitious hybrids appearing in their gardens and thinking that perhaps profit could be made by marketing these new plants. The late Leo Hodge of Victoria was responsible for many of these, naming them after his property "Poorinda", near Bairnsdale. The first of these werehis cultivars Grevillea Poorinda Queen' and G. 'Poorinda Constance', hybrids of Grevillea juniperina and G. victoriae, which were produced in the early 1950s and amazingly are still available commercially today.
