摘要

Disastrous weather occurred during a large part of the spring, including the first days of June. Many species were affected, yielding poor, often late reproduction and early formation of post-mating groups. The poor results are moderated by some notable exceptions (Night Heron, Little Egret, Ferruginous Duck...), by a small influx of Corncrakes in June, by the Bluethroat nesting at Virelles, Avocets and a mixed couple of White x Pied Wagtails, as well as the observations of the mating behaviour of Common Terns at Virelles. The depressive weather during migration led to the stopover of many migrators: White Storks, Honey Buzzards, Dotterels, Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Wrynecks, Whinchats, Wheatears, Sedge Warblers, Reed Warblers... Note also the series of observations of Spoonbills, the frequency of Yellow-legged Herring Gulls, and some early migrators (such as a Spotted Crake in July). Summer rarities included Cattle Egrets and Red-footed Falcons, a Red-necked Phalarope, Arctic, Caspian, White-winged and Whiskered Terns, the Calandra Lark, the Fan-tailed Warbler, and the return to the Famenne of a hybrid Red-backed x Woodchat Shrike, already present in 2005.
