The best way to fully utilize the genetic potential of a dairy cow is to create an ideal environment so she can produce optimally. Therefore the set-up and the level of management of your dairy farm is of great importance to the future milk productionof your dairy cows and the final results. Another important conditions is that the dairy farmer/manager knows his animals and gives each one the individual attention it requires. This is unlike a poultry unit, in which birds are treated as one group.
