Two weeks driving an Autocar desk has meant that the V60 hasn't been stretched much farther than a regular 11-mile-each-way commute from central to south-west London. The upshot is that most of the observations I've made so far are at low speeds and in slow-moving traffic. As far as stop-start systems go, the one built into the V60 is notably snappy. It works off a combination of road speed and the amount of pressure on the brake pedal. The V60's four-cylinder diesel stops swiftly and smoothly and will spring back into life as soon as it senses that you are lifting off the brake pedal.
