Affymetrix Inc (Santa Clara, CA), the leading producer of microarrays for genetic analysis, has agreed to drop its series of lawsuits against its rival lllumina Inc (San Diego, CA), a developer of bead-based arrays, without prejudice for a one-time payment of 90.0 million, under which lllumina admits no liability. The company also agreed to withhold any litigation against lllumina based on its current or future products and services, for the next four years.
