摘要

In this study, the acreage under paddy crop has been estimated in Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya using integrated methodology based on remote sensing satellite data, Geographical Information System (GIS) and field survey. Satellite data of IndianRemote Sensing Satellite (IRS) ID and IRS P6 of Linear Imaging Self Scanner (LISS) III sensor was used in the study. It has been observed that acreage estimation of paddy crop can be obtained using this methodology with high reliability and less than five percent standard error.
