China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) has awarded US giant General Electric (GE) engineering contracts for China's second West-East gas pipeline. GE said last week that it would be the primary supplier of compression equipment for the western section of the pipeline in a contract worth $300 million. It will supply 28 turbo compressors.
