Norway's Norse Cutting and Abandonment said Wednesday it has inked three major plug and abandonment and decommissioning contracts in the North Sea and Middle East. The deals will be worth a total of more than 100 million Norwegian kroner ($14 million) over three years.BP has awarded Norse a contract to remove 22 wells on the Miller platform in the North Sea. Offshore work is planned to start in the second quarter. Elsewhere in the North Sea, Dutch Heerema Marine Contractors has awarded a contract for subsea cutting on Ekofisk, the biggest ongoing decommissioning project in the North Sea. Norse will start work in the spring.
