Ask Jana and David Havard for an example of a recent achievement, and they're liable to list the fact that they're still married after running a business from their home for four years. Both P. Engs, they're partners in Havard Engineering Inc., Mississauga. Started in 1992 after David got a golden handshake from his job at Ontario Hydro, Havard Engineering Inc. provides technical expertise to electrical utilities in Canada, the United States, South America and Europe, specializing in solving such mechanical problems as vibration and galloping in overhead power lines. Jana, the company's vice-president, treasurer and secretary-and chair of PEO's Mississauga Chapter-is the organizer who makes the company run smoothly, preparing technical reports and presentations, and taking care of finances.
