lima—External partners have an important role to play in helping Peru fulfil its export potential - and ongoing diversification of the country's product portfolio, the strength of Free Trade Agreements and high-quality assurance will continue to attract them.Minerals still dominate Peru's export portfolio, but in recent years one of its biggest growth areas has been agricultural products. In 2012 the sector generated US$5bn in exports, with Peruvian fruit and vegetables going to 152 countries around the world. Fresh produce sendings were on average 15 per cent higher than in 2011.
