The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) announced the appointment of Katie Altoft as Secretary of ISO technical committee ISO/TC 176, Quality management and quality assurance, as from 24 May 2002. She replaced Grant Gillis who has left CSA for a position in the health care sector. Ms. Altoft has been with CSA for five years in its Business Management Programme. She has managed Canadian work in privacy and environmental management systems, and was instrumental in developing the Sustainable Forest Management Programme.
