Secondary effects of fluoroquinolones are uncommon and predominantly consist of arthromyalgias, arthritis and tendinopathy. Rupture of the Achilles tendon is an uncommon complication although several cases have been reported in the literature [1,2]. Bilateral rupture has been unreported although recently a case has been described of bilateral tendonosis with a rupture on one side, which was treated surgically [3]. We report on a case of bilateral rupture successfully treated conservatively, confirmed on ultrasound scan.
