Human resource staff need to communicate and share content with employees throughout an organization. Here, Kirsty McDonald describes how Ernst & Young's HR department has used an existing portal design to provide a single point of access for HR content and a way to communicate HR policies. When Ernst & Young's Human Resource function required a more efficient way to disseminate content and communications to the wider firm, it approached the Center for Business Knowledge (CBK) for help, The CBK is a global department responsible for core KM activities, including fostering people networks and a knowledge-sharing culture, managing content and linking people to that content, and building and maintaining the technology infrastructures that enable knowledge sharing.
