Although buyers of flats in Singapore are in no hurry to increase purchases, foreign suppliers have not lost a chance to raise prices again after New Year holidays, referring to growing raw material costs. Nevertheless, sellers hope to attract at least local traders, who need to restock, by the second half of January. Demand from consuming industries is not expected to recover until the second half of February-early March.

7. Commodity prices have risen sharply since 2006. This may benefit developing countries specialized on primary exports, but poverty may increase.
