The assignment comprises 20% of the final course grade. Each student submits a 2- to 3-page narrative report describing the site visited, student reflection related to the cultural excursion experience, and the application of a transcultural theorist. If students visit a site in pairs, each student is responsible to submit a narrative report.The assignment is graded according to the following criteria: (1) the site chosen is relevant to the course objectives; (2) sufficient detail is given to gain an overall picture of what the experience entailed; (3) types of artifacts/ exhibits or guided tours are included; (4) challenges associated with the visit are stated; (5) reflections reveal insights recgarding the cultural group; (6) 1 transcultural theorist is identified and applied; and (7) grammar and spelling are correct.
