摘要

Sorghum stover is one of the most important crop residues used as animal feed in the country. In Bundelkhand region, usually matured cobs of sorghum are removed and the plants remain standing in the field. Farmers harvest it daily and feed to their livestock. An effort was made to harvest the green stover to ensile as high DM haylage with the addition of urea @ 0.6 percent which has beneficial effect on growing animals over the feeding of green stover with similar level of urea (Singh et al., 1993).In the present experiment sorghum stover haylage and dried sorghum were evaluated in milch animals.
