Apollo Tyres Ltd is embarking on big investment in capacity expansion in the next few years. Addressing a press conference in Kochi, India, Apollo Chairman & Managing Director Onkar S Kanwar said the first tyre from the company's Greenfield facility under construction near Budapest. Hungary, will roll out in early 2017. The company is investing 475 million euro in this facility over the next four years. Once ready, this facility will have the capacity to produce 5.5 million PCLT (passenger car & light truck) and 675,000 HCV (heavy commercial vehicle) tyres of both Apollo and Vredestein brands.
