Thermal Interaction of Two Absorbing Disperse Particles in an Electromagnetic Radiation Field

The action of an electromagnetic field on disperse systems was studied. A model taking into account pair interactions of particles and the mechanisms of their mutual influence is suggested. It was assumed that particles absorbed electromagnetic radiation, which resulted in a distribution of heat sources inside the particles. The factors that influenced this distribution were the electromagnetic field scattered by a neighboring particle and particle heating. The heat problem for a particle with a source (initiated by both the action of an external electromagnetic field on the particle and the influence of a neighboring particle) is solved. It is shown that, if the absorption coefficients of disperse particle substances were substantially different, there might occur a thermal breakdown caused by the electromagnetic resonance phenomenon.
