Biosecurity at our borders is paramount in keeping our country free from potential incursions of unwanted and often harmful exotic pests. Growers particularly are aware of the devastation and cost of an unwanted visitor, as many pests have the potential to not only damage crops but also threaten our economy and future exports.Therefore ongoing research and development in technology that can detect such pests and identify them quickly as possible is important to all concerned.
