The SAMPE Japan Chapter organized one of the best Japan International SAMPE Symposium and Exhibition ever with the JISSE-7 conference Proceedings capturing the advanced technology of the 234 presentations given during the November 13-16,2001 event. As in past years, JISSE-7 was held at Tokyo's Tokyo Big Sight conference and exhibition center near the Tokyo Bay downtown area. The SAMPE exhibits also ran during the technical symposium and consisted of both aerospace and commercial exhibits of interest to the attendees. The Tokyo Big Sight center, as past JISSE attendees will attest to, is a massive conference center and JISSE-7 was collocated with another technology conference and exhibition on computer and electronic technology.The success of JISSE-7 was due primarily to the excellent skills of the Organizing, Symposium and Program Committees. In particular, the efforts of Dr. Takashi Ishikawa and Sunao Sugimoto from the National Aerospace Laboratory of Japan (NAL) led to the overall technical success and well-defined technical program that was so efficiently run during the conference. Additional praise goes to Professors Isao Kimpara (Kanazawa Institute of Technology) and Toshio Tanimoto (Shonan Institute of Technology) and Mr. A. Hirotani (The Business and Technology Daily News) and numerous other on their various working Committees for such a successful JISSE-7.
