摘要

A. causal relationship has been claimed between vaccination of cats and the development of sarcomas at the site of injection. Aluminum is an adjuvant in some of the vaccines that are used in cats, and it has been found in macrophages that typically are noted in and around sarcomas. A retrospective epidemi-ologic study covering the years 1991-1992 enrolled 239 cats with soft tissue fibrosarcomas. More than three fourths of the tumors (76%) were found at sites typically used for vaccination.
