EPA has released its fiscal year(FY)2007 antimicrobial pesticide workplan,which details its schedule for the registration of new antimicrobial active ingredients or new uses of existing ingredients as well as reregistration and special projects planned in FY 2007.According to the workplan,the Antimicrobials Division of EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs will work on 10 new active ingredients and 20 new uses and register eight and 18 respectively in FY 2007.The division will also complete nine Reregistration Eligibility Decisions(REDs)and open four registration review dockets as part of EPA's new program to reevaluate the safety of registered pesticides every 15 years.The agency issued its review schedule in October(see PTCN,Oct.16,Page 4).
