On Aug. 13 (75 FR 49655), EPA issued a proposal to amend the TSCA Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) (see article, Page 1). This rule enables the agency to collect and make public critical information on the manufacturing, processing and use of commercial chemicals, including current information on the volume of chemical production, manufacturing facility data and how the chemicals are used. With this information, EPA is able to determine whether chemicals may be dangerous to people or the environment.
