A chemical used in pesticides and plastics is suspected in the deaths of at least 15 cats and dogs,although there are anecdotal reports of hundreds more pet deaths.FDA March 30 reported that it had found the presence of melamine in wheat gluten used in pet food that was part of a massive recall.
