Beaumont— Cray Valley's Hydrocarbon Specialty Chemical (HSC) Division has received approval from parent company Total to build a new hydrogenated tackifying resins production facility in Beaumont, Texas. Initially, the new plant will have the capacity to produce 20,000 t/y of the resins using a new, proprietary base resin, Cray Valley said. Production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of next year, followed by a second 20,000-t/y expansion.
