La-Pb-Mn-O is a room temperature ferromagnet, known to show magnetoresistive properties in thin films. To understand and optimize the magnetic properties, we have carried out magnetic powder diffraction measurements in La_(1-x)Pb_xMnO_3 with x = 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 in 1-5 T magnetic fields and in the temperature range 2-400 K. The Curie temperature for these samples is around 360 K. Magnetic diffraction measurements show, in addition to the ferromagnetic contribution, antiferromagnetic correlations occurring around 45 K. Magnetic susceptibility and neutron diffraction results are reported here fort he sample with x = 0.5.
