Attitude acquisition of geostationary satellite by angular momentum exchange has been studied for satellite of the OTS size.nDetailed analysis has been performed for the various acquisition and reacquisition sequences:spin axis reorientation and partial dospin, wheel spin up and notation damping about the wheel axis and finally earth acquisition around the wheel axis.nThe wheel spin up analysis has demonstrated the possibility to achieve small final notation angles in acquisition phase through quasi-constant wheel spin up torque profiles. This appears not to be possible for reacquisition involving any initial conditions.
