The present invention relates to a polyphenolic extract obtained from seedlings of Cestrum parqui, commonly known as willow-leaved jessamine, grown in vitro, as a biocontrol agent against the deterioration of wine caused by the yeast Brettanomyces bruxellensis in different wine matrices. The invention also relates to the composition containing said extract and the use thereof, and a method for controlling the deterioration of wine caused by the yeast B. bruxellensis.
