PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notebook for learning a Chinese character compound and a teaching material for learning a Chinese character compound which make it easy to understand the meaning of the compound.SOLUTION: Chinese characters forming a compound are each regarded as a single word, and the compound is regarded as a phrase expression in which a plurality of words are arranged. Understanding of a structure formed by the plurality of words makes it easy to understand the meaning of the compound. In order to allow a learner to visually grasp a relation between two Chinese characters on the basis of the structure, there is provided a notebook 1 for learning a Chinese character compound which includes: four entry frames of a subject Chinese character entry frame 3S, a predicate Chinese character entry frame 3V, a modifier Chinese character entry frame 3A, and an object Chinese character entry frame 3O; and a line segment 4 connecting two entry frames 3. Each Chinese character is entered in the entry frame 3 determined on the basis of the relation between the two Chinese characters in the compound, and an arrow directed from the modifying Chinese character toward the modified Chinese character is entered on the line segment 4. The notebook 1 for learning a Chinese character compound in which all or part of the entries are performed serves as a teaching material for learning a Chinese character compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
