The present invention relates to a method for testing and evaluating a training effect of a gait training system. The method for testing and evaluating a training effect based on a gait training system of a gait disturbance patient due to aftermath of aging and a cerebrovascular disease comprises: a measurement step of measuring a gait time, distance, and speed through a gait of the gait disturbance patient, measuring a size of a load applied on the left and right soles and a difference thereof through the gait of the gait disturbance patient, and measuring a joint movement of the legs through the gait of the gait disturbance patient by a measuring unit; an evaluation step of comparing the measurement data obtained through the measurement step with measurement data prior to training of the gait disturbance patient and evaluating the data by a data processing unit; and a display step of displaying the evaluation results and data on a data display device, thereby performing testing and evaluation. Since a joint and muscle functions of the gait disturbance patient are measured through objective numerical values, a training effect of a gait training system can be evaluated objectively and quantitatively.
