The invention relates to a method for generating a real-time haptic feedback signal for a haptic device of a virtual surgery simulator, a computer program for executing the method and corresponding data storage medium, and a virtual surgery simulator. The method comprises - generating a physical model of an object using the virtual surgery simulator; - updating the physical model of the object on the basis of an interaction between the object and a virtual tool associated with the haptic device; - performing a calculation of the force the object exerts on the virtual tool; and - generating the haptic feedback signal on the basis of the calculated force, wherein the force is calculated using a parallel computing device.
