The spacer textile comprises two bases (1,2) and spacer threads (3), which are connected to the bases. The spacer textile comprises areas with different elastic properties. A stiffened surface portion (4) is provided with a coating (5) on the threads of the spacer textile. The area adjacent to the stiffened surface portion is uncoated or is provided with a smaller amount of the coating. A paint made of polyurethane base is provided as the coating. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a spacer textile.
