The solar component has an absorber element (82) and pipes (34',36') for a fluid heating medium, where the pipes are coupled directly or indirectly with the absorber element in a thermal manner. A fast insulator (80) is made of foam glass or plastic, particularly hardened plastic foam, particularly plyurethane or polyisocyanurate. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a solar thermal system with a container; and (2) a method for operating a solar thermal system.
