PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monoclonal antibody specifically recognizing histone H3 methylated at Lys 9 or its fragment.;SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody is prepared from a hybridoma produced by bonding an amino acid of 11 residues composed of Lys 4 to Lys 14 containing methylated Lys 9 of histone H3 through cysteine to KLH (keyhole limpet hemocyanine), injecting the bonded material as an antigen to a mouse and using a spleen cell obtained from the mouse to give the hybridoma.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
