    • 摘要: Objective:To investigate the effect of Gubi Tongxiao granules on vascular formation and cell apoptosis in the process of glucocorticoid-induced femoral head necrosis.Methods:Thirty experimental New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into groups.Except the control group,the animal model of steroid-induced femoral head necrosis was established by lipopolysaccharide combined with glucocorticoids.After successful modeling,the experimental group was given Gubi Tongxiao granules intragastric treatment,the model and control group were given the same amount of normal saline intragastric treatment,once a day,for 8 weeks,the experimental animals were sacrificed,the bilateral femoral head of each group was taken out for hematoxylin-eosin staining,and protein CD34,CYR61 and VEGF were immunohistochemical staining localization.TUNEL staining was used to observe the apoptosis of femoral head cells.The expression levels of apoptosis proteins Bax and Bcl-2 were detected by WB.The expression of VEGF eNOs Bax and Bcl-2 genes was analyzed by RT-qPCR.Results:Gubi Tongxiao granules reduced the number of hollow bone lacunae and apoptotic positive cells(P<0.01),and up-regulated the expressions of CD34,CYR61 and VEGF in femoral head tissue.Compared with control group,the expression of pro-apoptotic protein Bax increased and the expression of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2,VEGF and eNOs mRAN decreased significantly in the model group(P<0.01),the opposite results were obtained in the experimental group after Gubi Tongxiao granule intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion:Gubi Tongxiao granules can improve the expression of angiogenic genes and regulate apoptosis-related proteins in the bone tissue of rabbit model with steroid-induced necrosis of femoral head,promote angiogenic differentiation and inhibit apoptosis,and thus achieve the effect of treating steroid-induced necrosis of femoral head.

    • 摘要: Consumption of seafood has increased globally over the past 50 years, from an average of 9.9 kg per capital in the 1960s to over 20 kg in 2016. In Nigeria, African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) has gained more attention in terms of farming and consumption compared to other seafood. This project was carried out to determine the level of amino acid composition in the head, muscle and tail of catfish so as to enlighten the public about their choice on the part of catfish to be eaten. Eight different sets of fresh catfish with a mean ± standard deviation of 15.6 kg ± 1.89, which were collected from a local fish pound in Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, were used for the analysis. Extraction and evaluation of the amino acid composition were carried out using standard analytical techniques. The results obtained showed that high values of amino acids were observed in the fresh catfish (g/100g protein): 13.27 - 13.87 (Glu), 8.76 - 10.39 (Asp), 7.20 - 9.15 (Leu), 7.00 - 8.26 (Lys) and a low value in (Cys), 1.27 - 1.38. The total amino acids had a range of 89.16 - 92.12 g/100g. The coefficient of variation percent (CV %) for all the parameters determined were all generally low with values of 0.74 (observed for Ser) and 39.41 (observed for Pro). Total essential amino acid with histidine values ranged from 38.64 - 42.91 g/100g (CV % = 5.66). It was also observed that the concentrations (g/100g) of amino acids in the muscle of fresh catfish (92.12) are higher than that of the tail (91.98) and that of the head (89.16). There is no appreciable variation in the amino composition of the head, muscle and tail of catfish as the values observed were found to be statistically insignificant (p > 0.05). Therefore, it could be posited that the amino acid in the muscle, tail and head of African catfish would therefore be enough to prevent malnutrition in children and in adults who feed solely on any part of this fish as a main source of protein.

    • 摘要: BACKGROUND Talar fractures are exceedingly rare in childhood.There are very few studies on the clinical aspects,the long-term outcomes and the appropriate treatment of these fractures in pediatric patients.The mechanism of trauma consists of the application of a sudden dorsiflexion force on a fully plantar-flexed foot.Traumatic mechanism,symptoms and imaging of injuries of the talar head are similar to transitional fractures that are normally described at the distal epiphysis of the tibia:the so-called transitional fracture is defined as an epiphyseal injury when the growth plate has already started to close.CASE SUMMARY A thirteen-year-old girl reported a high-energy trauma to her right foot,due to falling from her horse.X-rays at the Emergency Department were negative.Because of persistent pain,the patient was assessed by an orthopedic surgeon after two weeks and computed tomography scans revealed a misdiagnosed displaced shear-type fracture of the talar head.Hence,surgical open reduction and fixation with two headless screws was performed.The girl was assessed regularly,and plain films at follow-up revealed complete healing of the fracture.Within six months after surgery,the patient returned to pre-injury sport activities reporting no complications.CONCLUSION Injuries of the talar head in childhood should be considered as transitional fractures.Open reduction with internal fixation aims to reduce malalignment and osteoarthritis.Computed tomography scans are recommended in these cases.

    • 摘要: Methyltransferase like 13(METTL13),a kind of methyltransferase,is implicated in protein binding and synthesis.The upregulation of METTL13 has been reported in a variety of tumors.However,little was known about its potential function in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)so far.In this study,we found that METTL13 was significantly upregulated in HNSCC at both mRNA and protein level.Increased METTL13 was negatively associated with clinical prognosis.And METTL13 markedly affected HNSCC cellular phenotypes in vivo and vitro.Further mechanism study revealed that METTL13 could regulate EMT signaling pathway by mediating enhancing translation efficiency of Snail,the key transcription factor in EMT,hence regulating the progression of EMT.Furthermore,Snail was verified to mediate METTL13-induced HNSCC cell malignant phenotypes.Altogether,our study had revealed the oncogenic role of METTL13 in HNSCC,and provided a potential therapeutic strategy.

    • 摘要: This paper seeks to examine headedness in affixation processes in Urhobo using a feature percolation approach.Affixation is a rich source of word formation process in the Urhobo language.The specific objectives are to identify affixation processes in Urhobo,investigate how they are used to derive words and determine headedness in the Urhobo language using a feature percolation theory as a framework.This paper reveals three affixation processes in Urhobo,which are prefixes,circumfixes and suffixes.Affixation is a derivational aspect of morphology and it brings about change in the grammatical class of the word or rather,provides additional semantic information to a word.The paper discovers that new words are derived in the language by attaching an affix either at the beginning(prefix),or to the end(suffix)of a word.This process is very productive in the language.The paper reveals that the head of a word using prefix is left-right branching while for suffixes,it is right-left branching.The prefix and suffix attached to a root to form the circumfix project to be the head of a word.The study observes circumfixes to have two heads.Feature percolation theory is also used to determine the head of a word in Urhobo.The paper concludes by recommending further researches on the use of theories especially morphological theories in analysing morphological processes in Urhobo.

    • 摘要: Some questions regarding the analysis of classifiers and classifier constructions are raised in this paper.The classifier,as a mere adjunct adjoining to the head,cannot serve as the head of the noun phrase containing it,and as a result,it cannot project as ClP or nP.Under this approach,the DP analysis and the classifier construction theory are further refined.The constituents which precede and follow the classifier are analyzed in terms of their syntactic functions,semantic relations,linear features,feature assignment and syntactic occurrence in order to represent the classifier construction with the X-bar phrase structure theory appropriately and correctly and present a universal approach to classifier constructions in various languages.
